Americans expect to make online transactions easily and safely – and there’s no shortage of companies offering online payment processing for merchants.

But what if a business picks one payment processor and later decides it’s not the right solution? Then, it’s time to cancel and switch to a different payment processor. Let’s take a look at how a business owner can cancel a Segpay subscription through a number of customer support options.

What Is Segpay?

A self-described eCommerce platform for merchants, Segpay processes online credit card transactions for merchant accounts, focusing on convenience and security for businesses.

As a consumer, you might encounter a Segpay charge on your bank account if you shopped with a merchant that uses Segpay for handling payments. Think of it as somewhat like a Square or PayPal charge.

How To Cancel A Segpay Subscription: 5 Options

Next, let’s highlight some ways you can go about closing out your Segpay account.

1. Use the Segpay Merchant Portal

Segpay’s self-service portal might be the easiest way for customers to cancel their subscription. Be sure to have the required information for your account, such as your debit card or credit card number, email address and purchase ID (which customers should find in their original confirmation email). Once you enter information in the required fields, look for “Cancel the Billing.”

The merchant portal also features a “Chat with Us!” function in the bottom-right corner where a representative can help you cancel your account. Be sure to get confirmation of the cancellation.

2. Cancel Over The Phone

Customers in the U.S. can call (866) 450-4000 to start the process of canceling their Segpay membership. Meanwhile, those in other parts of the world can call +1 (954) 414-1610.

3. Email Segpay

Segpay also allows customers to cancel their account via email at help@segpay.com. If you choose this method, you may need the following information:

  • Email address
  • Purchase ID
  • The first six and last four digits of the same credit card you used when you signed up
  • A reason for the cancellation

4. Mail A Cancellation Request

Segpay customers can also cancel their subscription by mail. Include a reason for the cancellation and provide the relevant account information, which will include email address, purchase ID, and the first six and last four digits of the credit card you used when you signed up for a Segpay account.

If you’re a resident of the U.S., mail the request to:

5. Look Into A Budgeting App

It might be possible to use a budgeting app to cancel your Segpay subscription. However, this option isn’t currently available to users of the Rocket MoneySM app because Segpay is intended for businesses rather than consumers.

Even so, Rocket Money empowers consumers to save money by helping you cancel unwanted subscriptions and providing an easy way for you to monitor your income, debts and investments.

The Bottom Line: You Can Easily Cancel A Segpay Subscription

Segpay offers several options to cancel a subscription. Just follow the steps above or the steps the user portal suggests, and you should be able to cancel in just a few moments.
