How To Cancel Your TruthFinder Subscription
PUBLISHED: Apr 5, 2024
Canceling subscriptions you don’t use is a critical part of responsible budgeting. From streaming services to food delivery services and online content with paywalls, the amount of monthly expenses hiding in the budgets of most Americans is staggering. Weeding out the things you don’t use by canceling any unused subscriptions is an easy way to bring down your monthly expenses. One of these services you pay for but don't really use may be TruthFinder, a website for finding personal information about people.
Ways To Cancel Your TruthFinder Subscription
If you’re finding that you don’t use your TruthFinder subscription and are ready to cancel, there are few different ways you can do it. These include by phone, by email, online or with any number of financial apps intended to find and cancel unused subscriptions for budgeting purposes.
Over The Phone
You can call TruthFinder at (855) 921-3711 to cancel your subscription during their business hours. TruthFinder’s business hours are Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time (10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time). When you call, be sure to have relevant information, like your name, login info and billing address, ready to provide. Next, you will receive confirmation of the cancellation, though you will still be able to use the service until the end of your current billing cycle.
By Email
To request a TruthFinder account cancellation via email, send a message to Hhelp@TruthFinder.com. In this email, provide your name, billing address and login credentials in addition to the request to cancel your subscription.
Online
To cancel your subscription online, go to your Membership Settings page. Underneath all your account information on the bottom right of the page, click on the link that says, “Cancel Subscription.”
With Financial Apps
Personal finance apps such as Rocket MoneySM can help a TruthFinder member to cancel their TruthFinder subscription as well. The app helps users get a handle on their monthly budget, a key feature for getting the most out of Rocket Money.
How To Verify Your TruthFinder Subscription Has Been Canceled
To make sure your subscription has been canceled, check your credit card, debit card, PayPal or other bank account statements. Look for the following line item: TRTHFDR*TRUTHFINDER.COM (or TRTHFDR*). If you see this, you’re still being charged.
What To Do If You’re Still Being Charged For A TruthFinder Membership
If TruthFinder continues charging you, follow up again with their customer service using the methods outlined above. If you still get charged after that, you can tell your bank or credit card company to not allow any more charges from TruthFinder.
Does TruthFinder Allow Subscription Pauses?
Some types of Truthfinder subscriptions can be canceled at any time. However, they also offer subscriptions that require a minimum commitment period. Be sure you know what you’re signing up for.
How Long You’ll Be Able To Use The App
You will still have access to TruthFinder data after requesting a cancellation, but only until the end of your billing period.
The Bottom Line
Unused memberships and subscriptions like Truthfinder can add up, so get rid of the ones you don’t use. Need some help? Download the Rocket Money app today to start easily canceling memberships and saving money!
